About Us
Family Nurse Practitioner
Board Certified Wellness Coach
Certified Menopause Coach
As a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of experience, I've witnessed the growing disconnect between conventional healthcare and true wellness. My studies in mindfulness and lifestyle medicine have reinforced my belief in a holistic, integrative approach — one that empowers individuals rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
Drawing on years of clinical experience, holistic-based practices, and intensive coaching work, I help people understand what's happening in their body, create a personalized plan, and achieve their health goals. I'd love to travel on this journey with you.
Why I built this
I've been fascinated by the human body since I was sixteen, when I announced I was becoming a vegetarian—much to my family's surprise. What began as curiosity eventually became a career dedicated to understanding how people can live healthier, fuller lives.
That curiosity led me to study biology and chemistry, train in naturopathic medicine, and ultimately become a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Along the way, I realized something important: the best care doesn't come from choosing between conventional medicine and a whole-person approach. It comes from thoughtfully integrating both.
As my career evolved, I became increasingly aware of the gap between treating symptoms and helping people truly improve their health. The pandemic gave me an opportunity to pause and reflect on the kind of clinician I wanted to be—and the kind of practice I wanted to build.
My own experience with therapy and life coaching reinforced something I had seen in my patients for years: meaningful health changes aren't driven by medications alone. They're shaped by habits, relationships, stress, purpose, and the stories we carry about ourselves. That realization led me to become a board-certified wellness coach and ultimately inspired the creation of Corvela Care.
Today, Corvela Care is built around a simple belief: the best healthcare combines thoughtful medical expertise with personalized support that helps people make sustainable changes in their daily lives.
My philosophy
I believe meaningful healthcare begins with partnership—a patient who's ready to invest in their health and a clinician who takes the time to truly understand them.
I believe symptoms are worth understanding. Fatigue, weight changes, sleep disruption, mood shifts, and hormonal changes aren't inconveniences to simply manage; they're clues that deserve careful evaluation.
My approach combines evidence-based medicine with practical guidance on nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and behavior change. When appropriate, wellness coaching provides an additional layer of support, helping patients translate clinical recommendations into lasting habits that fit real life.
My goal is simple: to help you feel better today while building a foundation for better health in the years ahead.
Outside of work, I believe in practicing what I encourage my patients to do: making time for movement, time in nature, meaningful relationships, and the simple routines that support a healthy, balanced life. You'll usually find me reading, hiking, practicing yoga, enjoying live music, or spending time with my husband and our dogs.
Your time is not behind you. Your time is now. We are living longer than ever. The data shows most women alive today will reach an average age of 81; for men, it's 76. That means 20, 30, even 40 more years. The question is not whether you have time — it's what you'll do with it. You can be a creator instead of a bystander. Change doesn't have to happen to you — it can happen for you.
